Feed The Winter Birds Painting
With the arrival of winter with all of its harsh conditions of freezing temperatures and snowfall, now is the time to feed the birds outside to help them survive. Wild bird seed, sunflowers seeds, suet blocks, they are all good and they are all appreciated. Your reward will be the beautiful songs they sing for you throughout the spring and summer. An extra added bonus can be placing your bird feeder in easy viewing range for your indoor cats to watch all the bird activity. The birds will thank you for the food and your cats would thank you for the hours of bird watching.
With great winter comes great responsibility . . .

Winter Snow Shoveling Painting
Welcome to 2015! One of the inaugural acts of the winter season is snow shoveling for yourself as well as the other people who depend on cleared walkways like the person who delivers your mail, your newspaper (remember those?) and your UPS and FedEx drivers. Who ever thought that the path to a harmonious global village began with you and your trusty snow shovel?

Rome Cat Painting
The funny thing about cats is that they almost always look the same where ever you travel, just like this guy who was caught napping in the Coliseum in Rome, Italy.

Crabby Tabby Cat Painting
Not all cats are created equal. Some cats seem to have an extra layer of grumpy, especially if they do not get their way. You know the type, the kind of cat that has wanted only one thing their entire life, their own way!

Key West, Florida Painting
Key West Florida is certainly an enjoyable place to visit with it’s history with Ernest Hemingway and the southern most tip of the United States where you can practically see Cuba. There are plenty of interesting shops and fun places to have a meal. Most of all, if you drive in, you will enjoy beautiful scenery along the coastline. I always tried to plan my drive back around the time of sunset so I could pull off the road and take some great photos of the setting sun reflecting in the water.

Tabby Cat Pet Portrait Painting
Portrait of Cabo, I finished this handsome mackerel tabby’s portrait in May. The painting is 9 by 10 inches on Arches paper, using H. Graham watercolors. I occasionally do pet portraits upon request, depending on my workload at the time. If I am too busy at the time of your request, I will be glad to do it at a later time when my workload is manageable.

Title : Goldfish #2
You are looking at the second Gelli plate print of my Goldfish series. Big eyed Goldfish 2 is pretty comfortable in his watery world of bubbles and water plants, also currently waiting his next meal. He does have a slight problem, bubbles keep escaping his blue home and drift free to all corners of the paper.
This is an original mono print using a Gelli plate, hand printed by me. No two prints will ever be identical. The prints are also painted and stamped on the paper using brushes and paper forms. It is printed with various acrylic paint on Rives 250 gsm paper. The image is varnished with Utrecht Acrylic Medium and Varnish to protect the painting.
The image area is 10 x 9″ and has at least an inch border around the image to make matting easier. The paper size is 14.25 x 12.25″. There are bubbles in the white space border. This print is not matted or framed.
Signed and numbered at the bottom of the print in pencil.

Humorous Kentucky City Names Painting
You have to love some of the strange city names found in the state of Kentucky. Cities with names like Possum Trot, It’s a dot on the map in Marshall County, Kentucky, east of Paducah. On the western side of Paducah you will find Monkeys Eyebrow in Ballard County.
Bugtussle – on Highway 87 south of Tompkinsville in Monroe County is popular with fans of the Beverly Hillbillies, who may remember that the Clampetts were from Bugtussle but they were from Bugtussle, Tennessee.
Other humorous Kentucky city names include Typo (Perry County), Sugartit (Boone County), Beaver Lick (Boone County) and Bagdad (Shelby County).

Corn Harvest Painting
As summer fades, school returns and the signs of fall are approaching. For myself, the sounds of high school and college football fill the air where I live during fall. Visually, fall presents images of cornstalks neatly presented in rows on open fields nearby. This beautiful season is meant to be savored.

Magic Painting
The role of a magician has not changed through the ages, their goal is to distract your attention from what is really happening before your eyes in order to surprise you through supernatural means. Sorcerer is a term used to refer to any human who uses magic, a female sorcerer being a sorceress. Sorcerers can be good or bad. From the tales of Merlin through the recent adventures of Harry Potter, there are many entertaining stories to enjoy.

Somebody told me it’s all happening at the zoo . . .
Now that fall is approaching, one pleasant way to spend a day is to go to the zoo. At the Louisville Zoo in Kentucky there is an award winning 4 acre Gorilla Forest that is educational and a lot of fun to visit. Their exhibit ties together the themes of animals, habitats, and the human culture of Africa. For more information on the Louisville Zoo and their Gorilla Forest, visit;
